Verifi Prenatal Test (NIPT)

The Verifi Prenatal Test is a simple blood test that screens for the most common chromosomal abnormalities that can affect your baby’s future health. Available from as early as 10 weeks into the pregnancy, this technology can non-invasively screen your pregnancy without any risks to the baby or mother. The Verifi test analyzes cell-free DNA originating from the pregnancy that is present in the mother’s blood sample. Both singleton and twin pregnancies can be screen for aneuploid syndromes such as Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome), Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome), and Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome). Additionally, in singleton pregnancies, all chromosome imbalances and select microdeletion syndromes can be detected.

Staring at $495.00, the Verifi Prenatal Test screens for Trisomy 13, 18 and 21. Upon request, sex chromosome imbalances will be reported at no extra cost.

2) Verifi Plus Prenatal Test  

Verifi Plus Prenatal Test + Microdeletion Syndromes

For $750.00, common microdeletion syndromes can also be screened through the Verifi Prenatal Test.

How to order this test

This test is performed on a blood sample taken from the pregnant mother who is at least 10 weeks pregnant. Any community blood test laboratory should be able to perform your blood draw upon receipt of your test requisition and ship the sample to the Mount Sinai laboratory.
